Guarding the island aggressively

Local healthcare authorities in Barbados are taking aggressive steps to guard the island against the Swine Flu virus.

A release issued by The Hon. John Maginley, Chairman, Caribbean Tourism Organisation (CTO) Council of Ministers reported that there are no identifiable cases of swine flu among the CTO’s 33 member countries.

However the region is monitoring the global situation and travelers are urged to follow simple guidelines to help prevent the spread of the virus such as washing hands, and not traveling with respiratory illnesses.
